Claude Code Instructions
Claude can pick up context based on where you're working in your project. A bit noisier than Copilot's approach, but just as powerful.
Instructions for Claude work much the same as with Copilot: it's a markdown file on disk. With Claude, however, the CLAUDE.md file in your root is the global instruction set, and any CLAUDE.md located in a subdirectory is used just in time if the files you're working with are in that directory.
It can be confusing, so let's dive a bit deeper.
