Keeping the Receipts with Session Recaps

It's not enough to fire up a planning document and let Claude do it's thing. You have to be able to answer for what was done! That's where recaps come in.

In this video we'll dig in to session recaps, a way you can capture what went down during a given session. Keep the receipts!

Caveat

We'll discuss the context window in a later video, but just know this: managing context is a big deal. Your tooling may compact your session to keep token use down, and when that happens, context is lost.

This is a known thing with Claude Code: the smaller the context (in the beginning), the better the answers. In this video, you see me recap a pretty massive session, but I can do that because I have my prompts written down. I also have a lot of tokens to spend given my subscription level.

If you're concerned about that, and you should be, you can do smaller recaps based on your Git commits. We'll go over that in a later video.
